Planned changes to hosting and DPA

Important update: Moving infrastructure to EU-based providers

At iPaper, we take data security and privacy very seriously.

Currently, our infrastructure is built on Amazon WebServices (AWS) and hosted in the EU.

As much as AWS meets strict security standards, we believe moving to EU-owned and -operated providers is the best way to ensure maximum data sovereignty for our customers, now and in the future.

What are we planning?

We will migrate all our systems, services, and customer datato new infrastructure providers that are headquartered and fully owned in the EU.

This change will also mean that we will update all Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) to reflect the new data processor and infrastructure details.

Why this matters for you

  • More transparency: Your data is hosted by providers entirely under EU ownership and oversight.

  • Clearer EU jurisdiction: Your data is governed exclusively by EU laws and regulations.

  • Same strong security: Industry-leading protections remain in place, now paired with the added assurance of EU ownership.

When is this happening?

We expect to complete the transition over the coming months.

  • Planned migration start: Early 2026
  • Planned completion: Summer 2026
We will update as we have a more concrete timeline and expectation

We will keep you updated throughout this process.

How will this impact the service?

We do not foresee any downtime, and you should not notice the transition at all.

In the future we will still have the same high level of speed and reliability across the globe.

What does this mean for our DPA?

Before we start the transition, we will update our current DPA with the new subprocessers.

After the transition is done we will do a complete update of our DPA and remove any listing of out-of-date subprocessors.

What do you need to do?

At this stage, you don’t need to take any action.

We deeply value your trust and partnership

If you have any questions or would like more details about this transition, please don’t hesitate to reach out to support@ipaper.io.
